据长江日报，袁凡事迹彰显英雄保安风范，感动！记者罗斌等采记发现，昨日，省市有关部门领导和各界群众，在武昌殡仪馆向勇斗歹徒壮烈牺牲的保安队长袁凡遗体告别。
昨日上午8时，武昌殡仪馆追悼大厅前站满了前来参加袁凡遗体告别仪式的各级领导、民警、保安队员和各界群众。悼念厅门前排列着两个方队，一个是袁凡生前的洪山区巡逻保安大队，一个是袁凡曾经护卫过的街区群众方队。
告别仪式开始后，袁凡的队友们眼里都噙着泪水，许多人已是泪流满面。和袁凡一起抓捕歹徒的队友莫涛流着泪说:“好兄弟，一路走好!”
袁凡的妻子昏倒在现场，醒来后因怀孕反复呕吐，在场的亲属和长辈们莫不痛心。
洪山公安分局领导对袁凡的生平和事迹作了高度评价。
袁凡的战友张培磊告诉记者，部队领导得知消息后，连夜赶到武汉参加袁凡的遗体告别仪式。他们是前一天晚上8时多在战友QQ群上看到这一消息，两位部队领导带着他和袁凡带过的一位战士，一行四人赶到信阳火车站乘坐22时30分的火车，赶到武汉已是早上3时，稍微休整就赶到武昌殡仪馆。
昨日下午，市委常委、市政法委书记、公安局长胡绪鹍，和省、市见义勇为基金会、洪山区政法委、洪山区政府有关负责人代表省、市、区领导前往见义勇为英烈袁凡家中慰问。
胡绪鹍握着袁凡父亲的手说:“袁凡同志是见义勇为牺牲的，他忠于职守，遇到危害人民财产的歹徒，挺身而出，用自己的鲜血和生命，为维护社会治安、创造和谐社会作出了贡献，是全市政法干警、安保队员学习的榜样。”
截至昨日，社会各界共送去慰问金6万多元。
袁凡的骨灰安葬在九峰烈士陵园。

袁凡介绍
袁凡,26岁，2002年7月加入中国共产党，2005年12月被洪山公安分局招聘为首批巡逻保安队员。
参加巡逻保安工作以来，他多次带领和组织队员现行抓获违法犯罪分子，因成绩突出，先后三次被分局嘉奖，曾获得“巡逻保安先进工作者”荣誉称号。
洪山公安分局巡逻保安队11中队中队长袁凡，勇斗持刀歹徒，英勇献身。2010年6月13日，省委常委、政法委书记吴永文就此作出批示，赞扬袁凡英勇事迹震撼人心，号召全社会向英雄学习，并要求省见义勇为基金会表彰、奖励。
