于是，它把自己打扮成旧社会的老鸨，跑到大街上，对那些漂亮的姑娘喊：“我们家要招聘姑娘了，你们有想来的吗？待遇从优！”这时，时髦靓丽的李宇春哼着歌曲走过来了，老鸨问：“哎呀，这位大小姐，你真是天女下凡，我三辈子都没见过这样的好姑娘啊，看你这模样，一定是唱歌跳舞的料子，一定讨客人的喜欢，你就到我们这里来吧，我给你很多很多的钱的”。李宇春笑着说：“谢谢您的抬举，我只是一个唱歌跳舞的，不会买弄风骚，更不会吟诗作赋，你要我也是白搭。再说，我不在乎钱，最怕没有自由，你还是另找人吧。”说完大步流星走了，看着李宇春远去的背影。老鸨骂道：“狗咬吕洞宾，不识好人心。”
老鸨觉得招聘姑娘无望，就把视线转移到英俊的少年身上，这时，韩寒梳着整齐的发型，穿着笔挺的西服，潇洒神气地走过来了，老鸨故意提高嗓门喊：“我们家姑娘要开苞了，你们都来抢绣球啊！”韩寒好奇地问：“老妈妈，你们的姑娘年方几何？”老鸨说：“姑娘才二八年华，只要你来，我家姑娘定会将绣球投给你的。”韩寒说：“我只是一个开车的，驾驶技术不错，曾经在全国获过大奖。我也会侍弄笔墨，只是诗词水平一般，怕与你家姑娘不般配。”老鸨说：“我家姑娘是一个传统型女子，琴棋书画样样都行，只是性格有些古板。要是与你结合，那真是好马配好鞍”。韩寒说：“我这人感情专一，一旦姑娘向我抛绣球，我就要与她相爱一辈子，决不做一夜情。”老鸨听后，勃然大怒，说：“这怎么行呢？你怎么能破坏我们的规矩呢？我发现你这娃娃个头不高，叛逆心理倒挺严重的。”韩寒说：“你这里也不是什么正经的地方，走开，我还有事做呢”。于是，一把将老鸨掀在一旁，气昂昂走了。
一连几天，老鸨一个快男超女没招上，不禁有些失望，自言自语说：“哎，如今世道炎凉啊，看来我们这个院子是要关门啊。年轻人不来，剩下的都是些黄脸婆，客人谁还愿意来吗？”
